ExxonMobil Celebrating Cancer Survivor:

Day Out with Kids

For many cancer patients and their families, the experience of cancer is an intensely stressful and anxiety-filled journey.  According to estimates, there are about 100,000 people in Malaysia living with cancer at any one time. Our forth community project focuses on cancer patients and survivors, through two events aimed at showing solidarity and support for the fight against cancer. A day outing to KidZania KL with children who are cancer patients from Home of Hope (HOH). HOH was established by the National Cancer Society of Malaysia (NCSM) to provide free accommodation for child cancer patients and their caregivers from outside Kuala Lumpur while they undergo treatment in hospital. NCSM is the first non-profit cancer organization in Malaysia that provides education, care and support services for people affected by cancer and the general public.
